Tools of the Trade.....

I think I need this for my kitchen.....
Rolling Pin Hook Rack from Blue Bird Heaven on Etsy
It has definitely inspired me to think outside the box and go rummaging through my drawers for the next perfect "hook"!

Holy Coral....

What do Wasps love better than Kelly Green??
It's not pink my dears...it's Coral!
Michelle Williams who was dressed in Louis Vuitton, hit it OUT of the park at last night's Oscars!
I am NOT a fan of the peplum BUT those of us who weren't blessed with a Wasp waist, this "shoulder pad" for the hips is a god send!!
It's ALL about smoke & mirrors Ladies!!

The simplicity of her jewelry (I have always been a huge fan of wearing either earrings or a necklace but not both!)and the touches of pink in her her lips and her bag make this ensemble TO DIE FOR!
I just want to hug her entire styling team!
Honestly...that diamond bow brooch (perfectly placed I might add) just MAKES the outfit!

I swear...her stylists MUST have been following The Housewives of Stonington...who back in 2009 properly predicted this fabulous color
aptly named "Wasp Coral"!

a little glitter to start your week.....

Perfect for the last few weeks of Winter and
fabulous for Spring!

Happy Weekend Everyone

I went to bed and the temp outside was a balmy 50 degrees...
When I woke up...
there was a lovely blanket of white powdery snow.
How unbelievably magical is that?!

During my so called Vacay... I have accomplished a few things
(although not as much as I would like!)

So far..
These are what I can cross of this past week...

1. Taxes (UGH)
2. Rebranding of Chocolate Creative Design (Hooray!)
3. Designing of Chocolate Creative Design Website (Finally!!)
4. Haircut and all things beautifying (Double Hooray!)
5.Spending Time and Playing with the Monster
(He has started his list)
6. Spending Time and Laughing with the Tall One (SOO Needed)
7. Painting, Cleaning and Redesigning our Home (Thank Goodness)
8. Spending Time with Friends (This means you Amy Graver!)
9. Exercise and Get in Shape
(Least favorite...I think I'd rather do my taxes)
10. Plan the Garden (Spring is in 1 Month!! Yipee!!)
11. Rework the blog (I might need some input here my friends!)

Next week...
I will be getting a new do, dealing with taxes, spend time with the Monster, do some more painting and redesigning of the house and START exercising!

Tonight...
I get to do #6 as The Monster is up staying with his grandparents and cousins having an absolute BLAST and the Tall One and I will be able to have a fabulous date night!!

Stay Safe, Paint in the Snow and Have a Great Weekend!!!

Happy Weekend!!!!!

Image found via Lavender & Lilies

Happy Weekend Everyone!!!

Wednesday, I did a little jumping....
on the bed like a 6 year old...
You know the kind....
The kind where you jump so hard you could fall off
arms & legs flying like a helicopter
no grace
mouth wide open in a grin
laughing wildly
and yes..
in my head I was wearing a pink ruffled skirt
because it's so much better jumping in a pink ruffled skirt.

Why this craziness you say?
Well, I have been hard at work, non stop since this past September
and now...
it's time for a little Vacay...
Don't get me wrong...it's been 5 of the most creative months in my life...
but sometimes a girl needs a creative break!

So I kicked off my Vacay yesterday with the help of my dear friend, Miss Heidi, with some home shopping, beautifying, lunching and dare I say a couple cocktails right in the middle of the afternoon!

I wish this was a Vacay set in the tropics
but
this is a Vacay which will be dedicated to me!

I have started making my list and hopefully will be able to check everything off by Mid-March!

1. Taxes (UGH)
2. Rebranding of Chocolate Creative Design (Hooray!)
3. Designing of Chocolate Creative Design Website (Finally!!)
4. Haircut and all things beautifying (Double Hooray!)

11. Rework the blog (I might need some input here my friends!)

Ok...So now I will be accountable..
It's here in black & white...
It's a long list and a short amount of time....
but I Think I can, I Think I Can....

I have already started Pinning on Pinterest
(Holy Moly is that ever addicting)

I'm Hooked on You!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!

Oops..wait..that was 2 days ago....
My how time flies....
But..
I couldn't let the week go by without telling you what exactly the Monster brought to school for all his Valentines...

A few of you guessed correctly on what the theme was...
And even one of you blew my mind by guessing exactly what candy would be used...
Yup...good ole Swedish Fish..
The Monster's 2nd favorite candy right after chocolate of course...
But the tricky part was figuring out what type of card & packaging would be created...
So... I went through some of our fabulous photo archives, and came across one of the most perfect days my fishermen ever had...

Yes..that is actually a real fish...
and after a few poses here and there, I caught a couple shots of this beautiful giant right before the scaling and cleaning began...

Fish inspired..
I created a tented card printed on a thick watercolor paper with a twine handle. Inside was a mesh pouch tied with twine and filled with the most delectable Swedish fish!

But since (in my opinion) Valentine's Day isn't always about that mushy gushy romantic stuff...
It's about telling friends, family and those who support and care for you that you love them..

So I made one for all of you...
my fabulous readers who follow along with me, support me with your comments and occasional clicks to a rockin button and honestly make me love what I do!

Don't they taste yummy!!

So Happy Valentine's Day my fabulous readers..
Just know that you have made all the difference in one persons life!!
