Happy Weekend!!!
Happy Weekend Everyone!!!
After 2 weeks of rain, I am absolutely, positively ready to finally just kick off my shoes, lie in the now VERY tall grass, under a cloudless sunny sky and relax!!!
Perhaps a little gardening, perhaps a BBQ..
All I can tell you, with a little dose of Vitamin D...anything is now possible....

All along the New England coastline, yacht clubs and beach clubs are excitedly opening their doors this weekend to summer...
After one of the most brutal winters in history, I can assure you that the clubs and beaches will be jam packed with people ready to celebrate!
I expect to see some fabulous kitchy skirts at these affairs..

Happy Weekend Everyone!!!
What a week!!
Here at the Wesson household we have started building an ark (you know it will have to be covered in glitter!).
So far we have 3 People, 1 Dog, 1 Cat, 1 Bunny, 1 Coyote, 1 Woodchuck, 4 Chipmunks, 4 Robins with 7 children and 2 Cardinals with 3 children(The Monster has been keeping a list just in case).
Hopefully, the weather will shift so that I can start planting a few hydrangea bushes. Also I am not so sure that we have collected enough wood for the ark..
Next week I get to work on a little project(that has been in my head for over a year) with the most talented ladies EVER.
Now I am certainly not a patient girl but I will have to wait till Mid-June to show you the results. In the meantime, this weekend I will be covered in glitter, glue and whatever else could be stuck to my fingers...
Hopefully, I will get just enough time to dig in the dirt..

Well, today I will break promise number 3.
Not just because I am sad and can't get any work done today but because I wanted to pay homage to a dear dear friend.

I like to think of him as misunderstood. He was very selective in choosing his friends (smart man). But if you were chosen...you were very very lucky..As you see, inside he was just a big ball of mush. I feel extremely grateful and honored that I was chosen. The times he came to stay with us, he was my shadow. When we traveled to Vermont, he and I would take long walks through the woods, he was free, sans leash and ran at top speed through the winding paths like a puppy...always checking back in to see if I was ok.
I realize that their might be some of you out there who don't have a dog and can't understand what it feels like to lose one. I can tell you this, it feels like losing your best friend or your child.
Just by watching Marley & Me, you will instantly understand the relationship between people and dogs.
(just be sure to bring a ton of tissues).

Sometimes, I believe that they are "more evolved" than humans as a species. They don't believe in drama. They always forgive AND forget. They love you no matter what, even your flaws. They are beyond excited when they see you and sad when you leave. All they want?? A tummy rub, a treat and love.

So for my friend, I wish for you, green fields to run in, water to romp through and an all-you-can-eat biscuit buffet.
For his family, my heart goes out to you. Thank you for letting me say goodbye today. You are the bravest parents EVER!! He was the luckiest dog in the world and you gave him all that he asked for..

Happy Mother's Day!
Moms...
We all have them. Some are near, some are far and some we cannot see, but they are always with us and in our hearts. Last year, I spoke just about my Mom...This year, I wanted to acknowledge the "other mothers". Ok, I know it sounds like the title of a very very scary movie, but it is quite the opposite. You see, I just so happen to have these lovely ladies in my life who are nurturing, protecting and loving my son just as he was their very own.
In fact, The Monster has Five of them.

The Gentle Soul
Not only is he the luckiest boy alive to have Six mothers but I am as well. This group of beautiful, strong and creative women teach me how to be a better mom and for that, I am eternally grateful.
It is true what they say, it takes a village to raise a child.
They have also given me Four girls and Two boys to add to my brood. So really, I am a mother to Seven beautiful monkeys.
