Images that Sing....

Sometimes there are those images that just sing to you...
When I received the new Anthropologie catalog in the mail yesterday..
my heart just went pitter-pat...
Right there on the front cover was an image that truly spoke to me...
Of course I want that fabulous skirt..
but
it is the story behind it that I find intriguing...
It is if they are telling MY story...
In fact..
I would consider this a self portrait of sorts..
as I see ALL the things that I wish to accomplish this Spring/Summer...
Plant some new flowering trees..
Have fun and be silly...
Go on a picnic...
Wear skirts and dresses EVERY day...
Redecorate our house..
and
Finally get rid of ALL our junk!

Do you have an image that sings to you?

Get those Wagons Rolling...

Since today is officially the last day of school...
it brings me back, way way back, to when my parents packed us to the gills in the Ford Country Squire and headed off on our summer adventures...
I wrote a post awhile back (here) on my lament for the good ole days BUT
when I found this AMAZING letterpress diy Station Wagon, (and in my most favorite of colors!)
my heart simply skipped a beat!

Created by one of my most favorite group of artists at
Blackbird Letterpress,  you too can rejoice in the good ole days of rolling around in sleeping bags and watching the stars while your parents drove through the countryside.

Gifts from the Sea....

Image via Martha Stewart

The Lilacs and Peonies have done their Springly duties..
gracing us with beauty & scent.
As summer approaches (just a mere 12 days to be exact!) it's time to pick up those last pesky strands of Easter grass and bring out the gifts from the sea...
The Monster and I are HUGE collectors and LOVE to create our own little vignettes throughout the house..
It makes us feel as though we are real life adventurers..traveling the seas and bringing home our treasures.
Each one carries it's own distinct memory..
They are like books telling a tale and shall never leave the bookcase!
