Sometimes...

just sometimes..

when the stars are correctly aligned...

the "Geeky Artist" becomes besties(yes I actually just wrote that) with the "Cool Girl".

Luckily for this "Geeky Artist"..
I just so happen to know a "Cool Girl"

and the Lovely Miss Sarah Crawford of Lil Hoot is perfectly just that..

"Cool"

I mean it...the girl is "Cool".

Really really Cool!

She wears Cool clothes

She has a Cool handsome husband

She has a pair of super deliciously Cool twin girls

She has Cool dogs (although one is very very very naughty)

She lives in a Cool house

She has THE Coolest sense of style

and she has the Coolest of Friends!!

Over the years, my secret plan has been to try to stand as close to her as possible so that some of her glittery coolness may just float my way..

Strange yes..

but it's worth a shot.. 

So of course when she mentioned that her cousin Ashly was getting married and if I could create all her paper loveliness..

I jumped, cantored and stampeded at the chance...

Being the "Cool Girl" that she is...

only SHE could make a mermaid bridal shower look 

fantastically, outrageously GORGEOUS!

It is a true testament to the AMAZINGNESS that is Sarah Crawford that ALL the wedding vendors for Ashly & Scott's wedding

jumped on board to help this FABULOUS shower come to fruition!!

And let me tell you...

this is one group of talented women that I feel extremely lucky to be a part of their posse!!

 So it all began with a lovely mermaid...

That sat on the sea wall of her mother's HOME...

Which MAGICALLY turned into a illustration...

that became an INVITATION Suite...

 which brought the most STUNNING of brides...

 and the MOST important of friends, family and sparkly princesses... 

 to a glittery confection of a PARTY!

 Where one could SIP champagne...

smell the GORGEOUS flowers...

 nibble on some DECADENT desserts..

take HOME a mermaid...

and cast a LOVE spell.....

See..
I told you she was "Cool"!!

We have been having THE most fabulous weather here in Connecticut!! 

Quite dreamy..I must say..

In fact..I think that I have finally thawed out from this winter..

The Monster and I have unpacked our green thumbs from the attic and have started planting the gardens...

YUM!

Cross your fingers for baskets full of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squashes, and melons..

 My dear friend Miss Sarah Crawford of Lil Hoot is designing, hosting and planning a shower for the lovely Ashly this Saturday..

I heard that a mermaid and lots and lots of bubbly is on it's way...

Apparently, I am what is known as an "old" mommy. Hopefully not for my age but because I simply don't have a new baby in the house. Holiday Gift Guide Day 4 Hostess by Sarah Loomis Crawford

I would have to say that absolutely and positively the hardest gift to find is the Hostess Gift!! You hem and haw to find just the right gift that isn't too expensive, too less expensive as well as creative. Well, look no further my friends....the Hostess with the Mostess is back...the beautiful Miss Sarah Loomis Crawford. Not only is she the BEST gift giver, but I know that her friends and family can attest that she is the BEST party giver!! Every year, she and Mr. Crawford put on the most fabulous and creative Halloween Party EVER.  They pick a letter, (this year was S) and they force their guests to don costumes that begin with that particular letter. I, unfortunately haven't made it up to one yet, but telling from the pictures...a good time was certainly had by all!

Holiday Gift Guide Day 2 Little Girls By Sarah Loomis Crawford

Honestly, I don't know where to begin without sounding too mushy when I speak or write about Miss Sarah Loomis Crawford...Beautiful, kind, hysterically funny, creative and talented are some words that come easily to mind...I did a post on Miss Crawford on the True & Wesson blog that I think sums it all up.  She  has without knowing it, inspired the Shoreline Wedding Community. She brought creativity back into my life. She produced 2 of the most beautiful weddings EVER on Island Farm on Elihu Island and amazingly had her own wedding published on Style Me Pretty. For the past 2 years, she has been working on a VERY big project....one that consists of 20 fingers, 20 toes and 8 paws....You guessed it...She is the Mom to twin girls and 2 very rasically Frenchies. All I know is that when this projects wraps up (or some grow up)....You are going to see superfragilistically great things from this lady...

She is certainly one to watch...
