Look at the size of his dogs!!

I LOVE that my California Girl has picked THE most coveted surf shoes around..

Food for thought...

Sooo...Right now, I am in the process of planning the Monster's Birthday Party, but I couldn't resist sharing a few of the super delish, overly creative food items that I have found while scouring the internet!
I am in absolute love with Diamonds for Dessert and her fabulous Monster Cookies...
It is possible to get healthy as long as you think outside the box...

So many to choose from...soo little time...

This little piggy.....

Lately,it seems as though I have been doing a tremendous amount of Spring cleaning....I think it's because I can't keep up with the Monster's growth spurts. Most of his clothes end up being passed down to friends or donated to Good Will...However, there are those few select pieces that I can't help but hoard and put away into plastic bins..like his first pair of Penny Loafers, his first Reefs or my personal favorite, his first pair of Chucks.  It seems so sad that they must hide away and are only to be seen when the bin is opened yet again.
Well, thankfully for Real Simple...they have inspired me to find  not only a beautiful home for them but a place where I can remember every day just how lucky I am!

Let your imagination grow..Lil Hoot

Over the past few weeks, I have been eagerly awaiting and crazily excited to be able to bring this post to you! If you have been following along with Glitter, Glue and Fireflies you might just recognize the beautiful woman in the pictures above. If not, this lovely lady, the fabulous Miss Sarah Loomis Crawford has graced many of my posts including Let your Imagination Grow on True & Wesson
and most recently in the Holiday Gift Guides this past December.

As I had mentioned in the Holiday Gift Guide, this lady is certainly one to watch. Little did I know, a mere month later, that I would receive the call I had been waiting for for years. Miss Crawford has allowed her imagination to grow by coming up with an ingenious idea...planning and designing kids birthday parties.
Now if I wasn't such an insane designer and relished designing the Monster's parties, I can tell you Miss Crawford would be the person I would call!!
Witnessing her design the most AMAZING weddings EVER, she is the Queen of thoughtful, creative and certainly out of the box details. Most importantly..she does it with passion and with heart!

Sooo...I was flattered, excited and deeply honored that Miss Crawford asked me to do her company branding. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to collaborate with her again...Like two peas in a pod...

So without further adieu...
Let's Meet Mr. Hoot, the face of Lil Hoot Parties..

I have to admit it folks..this HAS to be my all time favorite company that I have branded thus far. Mr. Hoot was inspired by Miss Crawford's twin daughters love of owls. Honestly..I could look at him all day...I have fallen in love with an owl...

So, we designed up some simple business cards and flat notecards to get Mr. Hoot on his way..

But the ultimate of ultimate was the design of Lil Hoot's web page...

Trust me folks...you HAVE to go see it....Simple, clean with a bit of a surprise....
All I can say is that Jon Michaelsen of Braincloud Media is a creative GENIUS, the coolest cat out there and he is stuck with me forever!!

So run, jump and fly on over to Lil Hoot's web page, Facebook page and most inspiring..the blog..

It just goes to show you...by letting your imagination grow, anything is possible!!

Monkeys in the Tree...

The Monster age 1 1/2

I was blessed with a child that could scale counters before he could walk. In fact, at the ripe old age of one, we had to purchase one of those crib tents (that kept cats out) in order to keep him in. Sadly, it only lasted a few months as he quickly figured out how to unzip it.

When I recently found the Klatretre, it was like they had been reading my mind!
Created by a Scandinavian company, Kaja Osholm Kjolas, it allows children ages 3-10 to literally climb the walls. The branches come in various shapes and sizes so that each tree can be customized.

With all this snow, 90 minute delays and school closings this could actually help parents and kids with their mind, body and souls!!

Let your imagination grow..Snow..Pillows...Blankets..

Once again they are predicting snow in New England. Plows are anxiously awaiting the first flake, while homeowners pull out their shovels in angst.
For some, snow isn't even an option...sooo..why not use your imagination..it's amazing what can happen..
I LOVE this image by Tim Macpherson...it resonates in me so many wonderful memories as a child. My parents had the perfect spiral staircase which was covered in plush carpeting. As much as wall to wall carpeting creeps me out now, as a kid...it's a dream come true. Blankets, sleeping bags, giant bean bags, boxes and pillows would whoosh my brother and I down our own indoor luge. Years before helmets, we strangely never cracked a skull. The only damage..laughing till our bellys ached.

So who needs snow...just open your mind and let your imagination grow...
