Happy Weekend Everyone!!!

March is a HUGE birthday month in the Wesson household...

So many friends, loved ones and family seem to have been born in the month of March.

Today marks the 12th birthday of my oldest son...

and I have to say he is looking AH-MAZING for being the ripe old age of 84!

I only dream that I will have the same good genes as he when I turn that age!

Warm of heart and cold of nose

He is a Mother's delight.

What did he ask for?

1. A bone

2. A new tennis ball

3. To romp with his younger brother

4. To go on an adventure at the Island with his Dad

5. Steak

6. Snuggle with his Mom

7. To eat Deer poo

(I am convinced that he merely barks at them so that they may run away and he can have access to this delectable treat)

On Sunday, we'll be cheering from across the Bay to our Auntie Egg on her birthday.

I can promise you that the Easter Bunny will be hopping over to our house and dropping off this tee in honor of our Egg...

We love her so!

This weekend, one of The Monster's classmates and friend, the Lovely Miss T, will be performing in this year's High School production of The Sound of Music!

Yesterday, his class was lucky to attend a preview of this fabulous musical.

When he came home...

He was all a chatter...

(for those of you who don't know little boys...they don't chatter)

I will have to preface this by saying that I had asked him if he would like to try out for it..

(since there seems to be a high case of drama in our house)

and the response was a very stern

"NO!"

So when he hopped off the bus, ran inside, stuffed himself full of food
(honestly I don't know where it goes)...

he began to chatter..

Chatter about the music, chatter about the scenery and chatter about how good his friend Miss T was..

His eyes were alive..his mouth grinning..

I realized that he was truly inspired..

not just by the play/musical

but 

by the courage, talent and determination of his friend..

and it made me smile...

Because I know, that without these wonderful friends in our lives,

we may never rise to the highest peak or simply try something new...

So...

Thank you friends

new ones and old ones

who inspire me...

and help me on my daily journey

to be as creative as I can be.

I have never ever ever been more ready for Spring!

I can honestly thank Piperlime, who on a daily basis, sends me fabulous emails regarding what's hot for Spring!!

They are BY FAR the only emails that I open in a sea of annoying retail chains biding for my attention!

What I have noticed for Spring fashion...

is the return of the wedge. 

(Hooray for us small people who are married to tall people!!)

This year, it's about rope, braiding and this lovely little 

criss-cross applesauce at the top.

plus...they are a little glittery...and what Lady can resist that?!
