Holiday Gift Guide Day 4 Food by Linda Sample

In my opinion, food is one of the most important parts of the Holiday Season. It's what really brings everyone together. Just yesterday at a Holiday Event, the Monster ate a powdered sugar, ginger infused cookie in which he replied after eating..."Momma, this tastes like Christmas". Peppermint and Ginger seem to be the most popular but it's the actual cooking that brings warmth mixed with love to us, our family and friends. So, who is one of the best experts on food that I just happen to know? The amazingly talented Miss Linda Sample of A Thyme to Cook.

I have had the privilege of collaborating with Linda on several events. In fact, she was the first caterer I ever worked with when I designed/coordinated weddings on Island Farm on Elihu Island. I think it says everything that when we collaborated on an event at the Island this past September, all of her staff from 10 years ago were still working for her.

She has won a zillion awards, heads up a million organizations, started up the bandwagon for caterers to be green, use organic and support local farming in the State of Connecticut all the while continuously helping others in various charitable organizations. I think and most importantly, it is about the passion, dedication, desire to learn and the need to think outside the box that sets her apart from the rest. I like to call her the Unsinkable Linda Sample.

So get ready for some amazing delectable treats most of which are Connecticut based by the amazingly talented Miss Linda Sample..
